Profiles Settings
Public member profiles showing likes, activity, badges, and tabs — who can see them and how they look.
WP ULike Pro can turn your site into a lightweight community hub with public user profiles — each member gets a page showing what they liked, posted, and commented on.
WP ULike → Settings → Profiles
Requires an active Pro license. Add profiles to any page with:
[wp_ulike_pro_completeness_profile]
Style the layout under Customize → Profile Template.
Core setup
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
Enable User Profiles | Master switch — turns profile pages on. |
Profiles Page | Pick the WordPress page that hosts the profile shortcode. |
Permalink Base | How profile URLs are built — from username, display name, user ID, etc. |
Redirect Author Archives | Send /author/name/ links to the WP ULike profile instead. |
Profile Access | Who can view profiles — everyone or logged-in users only. |
Custom Redirect URL | Where to send visitors who are not allowed to view a profile. |
Restrict Profile to Owner | Only the profile owner (plus admins) can view the page. |
Exclusive Roles | Roles that bypass owner-only restriction (e.g. Administrator). |
Profile appearance
Four sub-sections control what visitors see on the profile header:
User info
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
Display Avatar | Show the user's photo. |
Avatar Size | Profile photo dimensions in pixels. |
Display Info Section | Show the info block below the avatar. |
Display Name | Show the member's display name. |
Display Bio | Show the WordPress user biography. |
Custom Message When Bio Is Empty | Show fallback text if the user has no bio. |
Custom Message | The fallback text itself (rich text editor). |
Custom HTML | Extra HTML block in the info area — for badges, links, or custom content. |
Badges
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
Display Badges | Show achievement-style badges on the profile. |
Badges List | Add badges with title, subtitle, image, and type — great for milestones like “100 likes given”. |
Tabs
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
Display Tabs | Show tabbed sections (e.g. Liked Posts, Comments). |
Tab Position | Tabs on top, left, or right of the content area. |
Tabs List | Configure each tab: title, content shortcode/HTML, link behavior, and role restrictions. |
Layout
Responsive column widths for desktop, tablet, and mobile — control how avatar, info, badges, and tabs sit on the page.
Avatar upload
Let members upload their own profile photo instead of relying only on Gravatar.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
Enable Local Avatars | Allow uploads from the profile or account area. |
Use Gravatars | Fall back to Gravatar when no custom avatar is set. |
Default Avatar | Image shown for users without a photo. |
Max Upload Size | Maximum file size in MB. |
Max Image Width | Largest width after upload (images are resized). |
Image Quality | JPEG compression quality (0–100). |
Dashboard access
Lock down wp-admin for regular members while keeping profiles on the front end.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
Limit Dashboard Access | Block wp-admin for non-privileged users. |
Hide Admin Bar | Remove the WordPress admin bar for restricted users. |
Allowed Roles | Roles that can still access wp-admin (e.g. Editor, Administrator). |
Dashboard Redirect URL | Where blocked users are sent instead. |
