Install and Activate

Get WP ULike running on your site in a few minutes. Free from WordPress.org, Pro from your account.

Add a like button. Open your dashboard. That is the whole idea — and this guide gets you there.

Install the free plugin

  1. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
  2. Search for WP ULike.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

The free plugin is all you need to start collecting votes on posts, comments, BuddyPress activity, and bbPress topics.

Install WP ULike Pro

Pro adds dislikes, view tracking, profiles, forms, tools, and more. Both plugins stay active — Pro extends the free plugin; it does not replace it.

  1. Download the ZIP from your WP ULike account.
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Upload and activate WP ULike Pro.
  4. Open WP ULike → License and activate your key. See Activate Your License for where to find your key and what unlocks.

Confirm it is working

After activation you should see WP ULike in the admin sidebar:

Your next three steps

  1. Enable auto-display for Posts under Settings → Content Types.
  2. Visit a post on the front end and submit a test like.
  3. Open Statistics and confirm the vote appears.

Tip: If you run a cache plugin, enable Site uses caching under Settings → General before testing.
